YSA Convention - Day 2

So Sunday was of course the spiritual day of the conference. We had our separate priesthood and relief society meetings and then all came together for a general session. They had a lot of great speakers including the area president over Europe and his wife. In the afternoon they had classes. I went to one entitled "All for wont of a nail" based on a popular nursery rhyme here:

For want of a nail the shoe was lost.
For want of a shoe the horse was lost.
For want of a horse the rider was lost.
For want of a rider the battle was lost.
For want of a battle the kingdom was lost.
And all for the want of a horseshoe nail.

It was all about the importance of the small things in life and how we can make the biggest changes in our lives by changing the small things we do every day. It was a very insightful class. After the classes this picture comes into play. This is Kenneth Cope, the popular Mormon singer/songwriter. He did a devotional for us. His music is really fantastic. Then we broke up into groups and had a testimony meeting and finished off the day singing some hymns and watching the Joseph Smith video. I love that movie so much. My testimony of him as a prophet of God is always strengthened when I am able to see what life may have been like for him. He suffered so much that we could have the knowledge of God's true church today. I left feeling very grateful for his life.
