I was out of Daren's reach by the time we made it to the curb.....this is Daren making sure that Andrea knows he loves her and to make sure she won't miss him too much! From here I took a taxi to church and the rest of the fam headed to the airport. This was my least favorite part of the trip. As always happens whenever a trip ends, I am in a car alone and it tears me apart. I am so lucky to have such a supportive family!!!
I found my way to church....blessed familiarity. It was fantastic to hear church in spanish. Reminded me so much of church on my mission. People were really friendly. Probably 10 people at least welcomed me ( I need to learn from that). Other similarities to Chile.... started late, ended late, and in Relief Society they didn't announce an activity they planned it as a group complete with people yelling their food preferences, location ideas and times across the room too. It was great to remember. There was a very sweet spirit there. Everyone who bore testimony talked about their love of Christ and gratitude for His restored gosple..which testimony I share. It was great to feel that familiar spirit here in Spain.
I was hoping the fountains at the MNAC would be showing again tonight so I headed down to catch the show. No luck....I guess summer ended October 1st. There were tons of locals and visitors out though and I listened to a really great guitar player and enjoyed the vistas (Dad you would have been proud). Not my favorite day of travel, mostly missing good company, but tomorrow will be better since I will be busy seeing Madrid!

Ok, so do you actually work during your "British nursing experience?" Too funny! You are such an adventurer. Where are you heading to next? PS went to San Diego this weekend, all the cool people have left.
Denise, So fun to be with family and always SO hard to leave them! I feel the same. I know your parents were very excited to come. I saw them not long before they left here. I love that you keep this blog as I am "living through you" at this time! Great adventures and I love to read your postings. Have fun Kim A.
lol so I was just going to ask if you ever work..and saw that Im not the only one?!!? ha ha. So when can you shlep me around in your suitcase
Ah ya gotta love Latins...they march to their own beat! I love Barcelona, i am so jealous-have i mentioned that?!?!
Denise, can I trade you places for a week? I think any longer than that, things would go haywire around here. Or maybe I could just travel to hang out with you. Yes, that would be better. I'm too much of a scaredy cat to be by myself!
I can't believe your family went over to vist. They really are so supportive! I guess it goes both ways though, you're a great support to them also! I'm sorry you had to say goodbye, but so awesome that you got to travel around together. I'm glad to hear that you're happy and well. And still going to church. Keep us posted. Love you D!
I agree that I'm amazed that you would travel alone. I enjoy doing things by myself, but I don't know if I could travel to unknown places and stay in Hostels by myself. You are amazing. Do you think the mission helped with this talent? I love seeing what you are doing and love to hear the stories behind the pictures and places - thanks!
